We are dedicated to providing public awareness and education concerning the welfare of equines, and to work with county Humane Society Chapters, Animal Control Offices and Law Enforcement Offices in South Carolina to guarantee the welfare and safety of all equines in the state. S.C.A.R.E., Inc. assists in the investigation of equine abuse and/or neglect cases in South Carolina and will provide responsible foster / adoptive homes and quality rehabilitative care for equines in need.

The South Carolina High School Rodeo Association is an organization for students from any high school in South Carolina that wants to participate in the sport of Rodeo. They are supervised by a concerned group of adults that are interested in providing an opportunity for these students to participate in a non-traditional school sport.

Our mission is to promote the thoroughbred horse industry in our state and throughout the region. The SCTOBA works to create awareness of the tremendous economic impact the thoroughbred horse industry has in our state. Our organization is an advocate for the positive aspects of the thoroughbred business – breeding, training and racing. We also provide leadership and solutions to the challenges presented by the thoroughbred business.

The Union County Saddle Club, located in Monroe, NC, was founded in 1963 as a club that serves both the existing and future equine community.  We offer monthly open shows, March through October, featuring English, Western, and Gaited classes in a fun, competitive, family oriented environment.

The Pendleton Area Saddle Club was formed in 1989 by a group of horse lovers who wanted to meet others who shared an interest in horses and to promote horseback riding as a family sport through organized activities. Through the years, the purpose of the Club has grown to include promoting and practicing trail stewardship through education and related projects and to address public land access issues which affect horse-related activities.

The South Carolina Hunter and Jumper Association is a non-profit organization whose mission is to maintain accurate records for its membership, establish fair rules for horse shows, memberships, judges and stewards, and create a yearly calendar for horse shows. The Association is governed by a Board of Directors with four officers and an Executive Secretary. The Association sponsors an "A" rated horse show in the spring, the South Carolina Governor’s Cup Finals in the Fall and the Palmetto Medal Finals at the end of the horse show year. The South Carolina Hunter and Jumper Association also hosts an annual awards banquet where both riders and horses are recognized for their achievements during the past year.

The South Carolina Walking Horse Association (SCWHA) is incorporated as a nonprofit organization for the purpose of promoting and exhibiting the Tennessee Walking Horse.  The SCWHA sponsors shows and events thoughout South Carolina.  Proceeds from our shows have provided hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities alll over our state.  It has allowed us the ability to invest in our future by providing scholarship opportunites.  We continue to work diligently to promote the positive image of the Tennessee Walking Horse.  This website is intended to provide the news and events of our association.  We welcome and invite you to become part of this wonderful association.  

Our Saddle Club is primarily a trail riding social club comprised of a group of horse owners who love to trail ride.  We are located in the area surrounding Charleston, SC.  Mullet Hall Equestrian Center on Johns Island is our adopted "home base" where you can find at least some of our members riding on the trails just about every weekend of the year.  We like to get together to camp, eat and ride the trails whether it's local or out of town.  We have lots of family oriented fun.  The Club also hosts the Extreme Trail Competition once a year at Mullet Hall.  We also put on at least one fund raiser a year, usually a poker run or trail ride to which the general public is invited.

The Friesian Horse Association of the Southeast (FHASE) is a chapter of the Friesian Horse Association of North America, (FHANA).  We are a non-profit organization serving the Southeastern region of the United States.

The Foothills Indian Horse Club is the Southeastern Regional affiliate club for the American Indian Horse Registry

The FIHC is a very fun, family oriented organization. We welcome horses of all breeds and riders of all ages, disciplines and skill levels. We hold a variety of activities throughout the year including: a year long show series, clinics, trail rides, camp outs, along with participating in parades and much more. We are proud to be the hosts of the annual AIHR Southeastern Regional Championship Show which is held each year over Labor Day weekend.

The Western Carolina Arabian Horse Association currently offers 2 levels of memberships. The Adult or Junior Memberships include an affiliate membership with the Arabian Horse Association. The adult membership is a voting membership and the number of voting delegates the club receives at the Regional and National level is based on the number of adult members. A membership with AHA is required for both the owner and rider/handler at any AHA sanctioned show (direct membership to AHA is more expensive than joining WCAHA as an affiliate member and does not include voting privileges). WCAHA memberships also include a subscription to the Arabian News

Midlands Saddle Club of Lexington, South Carolina is a non-profit family oriented horseback riding club. Our membership is open to ages, from the beginner to the advanced riders. Established in 1984, Midlands Saddle Club is one of the oldest saddle clubs in the midlands of South Carolina.

River Valley Pony Club (RVPC) is a local (Spartanburg Co., SC and Polk Co., NC) chapter of the United States Pony Club (USPC) and part of USPC's Carolina Region. The mission of USPC is to provide a program for youth that teaches riding, mounted sports and the care of horses and ponies, thereby developing responsibility, moral judgment, leadership and self-confidence.
